take a look at our current minor league IF position player depth.  It's not great.  

The biggest thing lacking in our system right now is front of the rotation arms which you're not likely going to get at 15 or 55.

Draft best player available. This isn’t like the other sports where there will be an immediate return on investment. These guys likely won’t see the big leagues for 3-5 years

More I think about it the more I love the Paris pick. He’s one of the highest upside guys in the entire draft. A total project but with a relatively safe (high floor, plus ceiling) 1st round pick, this is an A+ from me.
