How about Cahill as opener? Before today, here's his stats by time through order:

1st: .209/.253/.429

2nd: .299/.384/.690

3rd: .294/.351/.647

The first time batter is a fringe regular. The 2nd and 3rd time is JD Martinez.

Which is why they’ll try him as a reliever....no matter what the geniuses on Angels Win think....Harvey, on the other hand, is just awful, never pitched in relief....

Time for him to move to the pen. Give me a rotation of:

1. Skaggs
2. Heaney
3. Pena
4. Canning
5. Suarez

Maybe Barria or Trop can get some outs at some point this season as well, but I think they both have to get their shit together before that happens.

Move in to the pen? can you imagine him come into the game in the 6 or 7 inning and give up about 5 runs. It's time to just git rid of his worthless ass. They need to keep him out of the game. Why don't they send his sorry ass to the minors and see if he can figure out what he is doing wrong.

his line sucked, but he didn't allow a ton of hard hit balls today.  He's not very good and doesn't belong in the rotation, but he wasn't terrible today.  He'll be a decent option out of the pen.  Better than Noe.  Better than Garcia.  Better than Cody Allen.  Better than a lot of the minor league options.

Perfect, he pitched just well enough to justify a Sunday day game start against the Mariners.
