Addition by subtraction. Getting Cozart off the active roster means Ausmus won't be tempted to play him. That means more playing time for Rengifo, Fletcher and La Stella. Better for the Angel's now and in the future.

trop was the 40 so they'll need a 25 man spot for him.  probably Cole.  

really surprised about Puello.  Would have thought Ward would be the choice since he's already on the 40 and playing some OF.   My guess is that Ramsey or Peters will be DFA'd.  Not sure who's gonna get sent down though.  Maybe Walsh?

Allen is a hot mess.  even his last 7 games where he's only give up 2 runs, he's allowed an .861ops with 13 base runners.

Prospect or maybe swap bad contracts. Cozart is definitely a buy low candidate for a team needing a infielder with veteran experience and possible upside.

I dont think we trade him unless it's for a bag of balls and we still pay his contract.  His only value if as a defensive replacement
