Honestly Canning is still throwing pretty good pitches. He made a mistake earlier in the inning but most of the Tigers hits haven't been solid knocks. A really good outing, and hopefully he doesn't get screwed with 3 ER on his line.

I think 75 pitches was as high as he got in the minors. 

I think we’ll see him get better and better as he builds out.

He’s out of the game.  He threw about 85 pitches.

I think they got him to 80 maybe once? That was one of the main issues was the fact that he rarely threw over 80 pitches in a game.

I thought I might be a bit hypercritical so I wen't back and watched it again.  All three hits in the inning Canning threw the ball exactly where Lucroy called it.  dude sucks.
