Overall not so great for Eppler - more bad than good.

I am not expecting someone like Cahill to be an ace.  Just not one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball which is what he is right now (he's actually the worst by WAR).  

If whatever they're trying to do with him isn't working, make an adjustment.  If Cahill isn't embracing it then skip him a couple more times until he gets it.

I would say next year, actually. They could have a good homegrown rotation or Ohtani, Skaggs, Heaney, Canning, Suarez and Barria with F Pena, Sandoval, Madero etc as depth. And that’s assuming they don’t go after Cole.

No kidding, last year 8 HR in 110 innings.This year 12HR in 33.1 inninngs
