The Official 2019 Minor League Statline and Prospect Discussion Thread

I love minor league depth, but I've learned not to get excited until a hitting prospect basically dominates in AA. Then they are close. So we'll see with Marsh and Jones.

Adell looked great there, hopefully he can do better at AAA when he's healthy. I also think he'd be up right now if he were healthy.

Extremely intriguing group of pitchers there at IE. Chris Rodriguez! Now’s the time buddy.

Bradish, Brady, Criswell, Hanewich, Hernandez, Madero, Rodriguez, Tavarez, Warren, and Wantz - hell, actually all of them are the pretty interesting and have some reason to be optimistic, either from their draft pedigree or performance to date.

Torres, Rivas, Pina, Hunter, MacKinnon, and Martinez are slim pickings for the offense though.

I wonder if the 'Nonie Williams, outfielder' experiment is over, or if it's just a typo, or if he's shifting into a super-utility path.

Key year for Nonie. He showed a little life there in the last stretch of his season.

Just like with IE, the pitching really needs to step up. Duensing, Molina, Pina, Rogalla, Soriano, Yan...now is the time to show something. Between IE and Burlington, we could see a really big shift in our farm's pitching and the 2022ish wave of talent.

Jeremiah Jackson and D'Shawn Knowles not on the Burlington roster.  Interesting.

They may be injured or kept in Arizona for additional seasoning before they hit Burlington.

Or the plan all along was to give them a full 3 months in Orem this season.

If it’s anything like last year, no one will be in one place for long if they’re producing.

Those guys are super young. They might start in Orem, get bumped up after two hot weeks, and then jump straight to IE in 2020, and, should they continue to produce, be knocking on the door late 2021.

We’re only seeing the very beginning of what I think is going to be a league-wide push towards playing the youth, barring significant CBA changes. I don’t think it would be crazy to see numerous top HS players making the bigs in 2-3 years or too college players spending a year or less before getting promoted, and more extensions, both big like Acuña and Eloy, to mid like Grichuk and Marquez and small like Bote.
