Let me try to make it ckear:

If have the winning run on base, a career 200 bitter at the plate.  What do you Do?

You could try to steal 2nd and get the runner in scoring position. However that would be risking injury to one of our starting pitchers.  You could let him swing away where he either hits neither gets a hit (22% chance) or gets an out or possibly gidp.  Thus Cowart had to get on for Trout to get up.

Or you bunt the runner over.  You know a sacrifice bunt where the Godspeed of the batter is irrelevant ("retard"??????).

Than you have Cozart up one of your better hitters with a runner in scoring position and if he doesn't win it you almost assure getting the best player in baseball up to win it.

Yes I know the Indians can walk Trout but that means Upton comes up with a chance to win it.

It would have been stupid not to bunt in that situation.

Oh for goodness sakes.....we are all way past that discussion now.  Jeez.

It's early but hopefully he's the Angels version of Justin Turner. Real late bloomer type

He had some success early on with the Reds....just hasn’t stayed healthy more than anything....BA was terrific last year though (.297).....

I was legit just pointing out the stat that’s all, didn’t mean it in a bad way believe it or not.

Save that for a rainy day, not when there's sunshine and rainbows. We don't need dark clouds on a glorious day. Whether it's truth or not.

That's like telling an overweight person that had a great day, "true, but you're still fat and need to lose some weight".

Last two games were really fun.  Probably the most fun to start a season in a long time.  And that's with 3-5 in the lineup struggling.  Winning games when not everything is going right is a good sign.  Frankly, most of the lineup hasn't been all that great.  hopefully, when Upton gets locked in, he'll carry the team for a bit.  Then the next guy and so on.

And another thing, Skaggs was off today, but he didn't give in.  His off days used to include 2hrs where he was trying not to elevate his pitch count.  Pitching to keep runs off the board and runners off the bases is where we need to be.  Getting deep into games is overrated.

You’re reaching worse than DiPoto on draft day with that one.

Look, if a simple stat bothers you that much regardless of how you precieve it, that’s on you.

You assumed I meant it in a bad way.

Ohtani made this possible with the home run off Cy Kluber.

Actually it was Simmons' bunt to break up the no-hitter... it all unraveled for Kluber after that.

I wouldn't say it all unraveled after that. The only runs Kluber allowed came from Ohtani's HR. Yea, Simmons had a bunt single, but he only scored because of Ohtani's HR. ;)
