Especially when Ohtani is in it.

Have to see how he does with the bat in the regular season, first. Anyways, Kinsler has to get on base at a good clip. About .350 would be a good OBP. Have to start putting stress on opposing pitchers, especially with Trout coming up to bat.

Ohtani's fastball reportedly sat around 93 MPH and hit 96. Obviously not bad velocity, but he did average 97 MPH in Japan while hitting 100+ frequently.

I wonder if he's just not throwing at maximum effort so far.

No way he is throwing as hard as he can right now in ST.

I would say, if Cozart can get on base 38% of the time again, he should be batting in front of Trout. Big if though.

In some of the 120 different lineups, If Kinsler is 1st and Trout/Upton/Pujols is 3/4/5 then

Cozart against lefties, Calhoun against righties.

However, if Ohtani is also a capable lefty batter, perhaps Calhoun stays hitting 6th. When Ohtani hits of course. I like the idea of a lefty hitting 1st or 2nd and one hitting 6th or 7th. Doubt we often have three lefties in a game, and that only will happen when Valbuena or Cowart is playing 3rd.
