Exactly what I was thinking. He checks the boxes for what Eppler wants. Gives them another hitter who can bat from the left side and can play 1B/3B.

For me in order of preference, Moustakis, Frazier, Headley.  No interest in Longoria at this point 
We need more pop, we need LH.   Only one of them ticks both boxes.

Why do that when he is a great defensive 2nd baseman?  I wouldn't change him at all. Our defense up the middle is elite.

Headley is also a UFA after this season. 

its not the most exciting move.  but he's low risk and we're done with it after this year.  Angels might be waiting for next year.  Which would make sense.

With Kinsler and Headley we are better.  If we get some luck with the pitching we could do some damage.  These guys will score runs as long as Kinsler and Headley produce as projected.

Katie Strang with the Athletic was one of the first to report teams inquired about Kinsler as a 3B a week or two ago.

As the Kinsler trade is imminent, Nightengale reports the Angels are on verge of acquiring a 3B...

May be coincidental but feel like there's a chance. 2B makes more sense but the Angels could leave it up in the air as winter plays out.

The Jays are so on the fence with this rebuild thing. I’ve said before I think they’ll at least give it one last shot to start the year but Shapiro has also said if it wasn’t for the fans they would’ve started the rebuild last year. 

We could probably make a decent package for them and their needs for Donaldson. 

They have Vlad and Bichette so they don’t need a 3rd or 2nd (which is good for us) but a pitcher and outfielder would get them thinking
