Yes, they keep their original bonuses and are free to negotiate with the 29 other teams. Effectively, Atlanta shelled out $20 million in bonuses for nothing.

Two questions: 1) how come the agents/advisors involved in the kickbacks and bribes didn't get any kind of ounishment/ban? 2) Which of these guys would we want/would it be worth signing, even if we used some of next year's international money?

I don't know if this is true or not, but you can use next year's Intl money to sign a guy like Maitain. But you have to pick, either this periods or next periods
