In the last 20 games which meant the most, Phillips was the only regular to hit above .250 with a .274 average. The only other thing that was going in the last 20 was Upton's 7 homers. So for people saying Phillips and Upton hurt the team its the other way around, Phillips and Upton wanted to play but everyone seemed to have not wanted to get on base. 6 of Upton's homers were solo shots.
