He is playing out his contract, boys. 

Next year is the last year of the rebuilding process and by 2019 you will see a completed roster with young players ready to fill in from the minors along with a new managerial staff to work with those guys. 

But Scioscia will complete the last season of his contract.

Brick gloves...Cron has a .995 field percentage and his committed four errors.

Valbuena...committed no errors at first and 7 at third...

Norris has been a tale of two halves..the first half lights out, nobody complained...second half it's been a huge struggle. Scioscia only used him in 10 games in August and 10 in September, less than 18 innings between the two months.

Bedrosian struggled in June and July, but has been pretty solid every other month.

 

Scioscia had some much depth, he could have picked anyone to pitch.

First off, this is from March of 2016, but...

Scioscia is number three on the list.

Scioscia won the World Series in only his third season with the Angels, and he's finished above .500 in 12 out of 17 seasons at the helm. Last year was his worst with the Angels, winning only 74 games, and his penchant for playing veterans and not adjusting to baseball's modern changes has worn on fans and GMs, as former GM Jerry Dipoto can attest.

This is the real worry.  Getting rid this year vs next year would just be the cherry on top.

Also, it's infinitely more fun to hate on Dipoto with Scioscia still around.
