I'm not legally insane,so hear me out.

2017

The fact that we're not DONE by the injuries of our SP so far is nothing ,but GOOD karma.

This season there's no clear favorite like 2015 Royals,2012 Giants,2011 Rangers/they almost won,but Nelson Cruz dropped a ball in OF with 2 outs in game 6 of WS/,2007 BoSox..

Another plus is Heaney coming back by September. Not only can we make the 2nd WC,but get deeper,as long as we don't face AL Central team too soon.Rangers have no pitching aside Hamels and Andrew Cashner nor do they have a good BP.

The Astros are on a slide. When we make the 2nd WC,I wanna face NYY  and then Boston in ALDS. Not even Central teams are good as the Royals 2 years back.

2018

For a first time in a long time the Angels are on the verge of something BIG.

1.We have over 60M coming off the books, plus FO needs to trade a few pieces that appear prone to slumps and short periods of getting hot.I already mentioned a few names in my other thred- Adding and subtracting. We also have 3 individuals on the DL that need to be moved, due to their predisposition to getting hurt Richards,Shoemaker,Street.

2.All in all,FO can clear 105-108M by late July 2018.Once Arte gets that we can start BUYING/offseason/ and trading boys for men.FO can easily spend 75-80M this offseason and still have 10-15M less payroll in 2018 than now.Plus Halos are prone to back load contracts of new additions.Lets say we sign Hosmer 1B,Moustakas 3B,Lorenzo Cain RF or LF for say....5y/100M each.Angels start low the first 2 years/10M each in 2018/ and then payroll escalates the last 3 years. This is only an example...we can get'em for less..80-85M per player. Its up to Arte n Eppler.

3.Based on that we can sign Arrieta or another kick ass SP and 3 relievers.

4.With that much firepower getting to the WS 2018 is getting easier n easier.Winning all is another animal.

5.Angels will start winning again and Arte will get his wish - FULL ATTENDANCE day in and out...ka-ching ka-ching.

First it would be stupid to release Richard's while he is under control.  Any replacement would cost more than what we are paying Richard's arbitration rate.  Shoemaker?  Yes dump him.  He should never got hit by that one drive.  This year is the first year that he has arm trouble.  And like Richard's he is club control.  Trade both of them if we got better but I doubt we will.

Arrietta?  Thought you wanted to dump pitchers who are always injured?

Angels signing Arrieta is risky. Sure he was good overall in 2016 but his ERA was like almost 4 after the ASB last year......and that was him pitching behind a historically great defense and in the National League. He has been hot and cold again in 2017. He will never pitch like he did in 2015 or even in 2014 again. Also remember that he didn't do so hot in the AL with the O's and that he is over 30 years old.

GRich needs to be given 2018 to see what to expect.

I still like the idea of moving Shoe to the pen.   That splitter could be huge, pitching in either the 8th or 9th innings.   Plus not many MLB starting pitchers throw a lot of splitters.

Hoping that Canning turns out to be a great 2nd round pick, and is a MLB starter by 2nd half of 2019 or ST 2020

Guys, aren't you tired of Richards n his fragile body ? Went down first in 2014,then his pitching isn't that of an ACE.

He's # 3 type SP on any other team. And # 3s are dime a dozen each postseason.Andrew Casner of the Rangers is better at that price range, plus Cashner is a big meaty guy - the type that gets hurt less.

Shoe is a STUD one game ,then he sucks ass the next 2-3 games...consistency please...anyone !?

Huston...the moment he climbs that mound he looks scared...fidgeting,his hat seems small ,so the weasel keeps on adjusting it and then gets blasted. So,he develops a 'thing' in his forearm and goes on the DL.

About 27-29M for these 3 goobers. Can we spend their money on something that won't crap the mound ?

Also we have a bunch O guys that are 'begging' to be traded...another stash of money we can use to better the team.

This offseason I don't wanna hear FO coming n saying..."no money for additions''.They can either save on getting FA or lose on attendance.Fans are not IDIOTS.

I am assuming you are referring to a healthy Richards, right? Richards, when healthy, is in no way a #3 SP on any other team. That is bogus. Remember in 2014, before he got hurt against the Red Sox, he was putting up a 2.61 ERA with an outstanding WHIP in over 160 innings pitched. That is not a #3 SP. That is your ace pitcher. And Cashner has been hurt many times in his career, as well.

70% chance this post is actually a joke.  90% chance Richards or Heaney or Skaggs or Shoe or Tropeano are injured before the end of 2018.

I'm more into the thought that 92% of the entire post was not a joke.... And 8% of it was trolling for likes or questionable replies.... I'm not even that negative.....

Remember 2014... That was four years ago Dochalo, very little on his resume since that says he is the pitcher you claim he is. At age 29 he has one complete season to his resume and a season long injury that he somehow has to recover from and pitch well in a playoff drive with little time to regain his arm strength and control.

Maybe you can see that fans are pretty much worn out waiting for potential to get off the trainers table and to the mound. The expectation for success has dwindled.

I didn't post that.  I'm with you on the 'if healthy' thing for GR.  Great arm.  Pitches like and ace if healthy.  Kinda like if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.
