This should be the first lefty Cowart starts against since coming up to the majors this year. Looks like a good sign that there is no plan to platoon him. Now he just needs to show some kind of consistent numbers, and there should be good things in his future.

Lineups with Pujols batting third or fourth simply reinforce the idea that the Angels are avoiding the obvious. The longer this continues, the uglier it will be. It will not end well if Pujols is allowed to be in charge. The Angels owe him nothing more than the money which represented the respect Albert was looking for at the time of the signing.

I remember a previous time him coming up and getting a reputation for having no patience. He appears to have done a 180 on that. He has shown great plate discipline since coming up. Good stuff to see.
