If we have Gordon, Escobar and Trout, we'll have three guys that'll hit over .300 in the lineup.  That should make up for Pujols.....Amirite CalZone?

I'm okay if it's ONE season only for Escobar.   At some point though, they need to move away from him as he turns 35 in 2018.

i would prefer to give cowart a legitimate shot at holding down the position, and direct the FA dollars at whatever pitching upgrades we could get.

We let him go a few months too late. I'll never forget how dreadful he was in that playoff series against the Yankees. Just completely over matched. He always struggled in big spots.

That is the rumor.  I don't have an opinion other than to say I'd like to see if Cowart can hit enough to play 3rd.  That would save us money going forward to fill other holes.

Honestly, I'm not a Pujols basher but he needs to be moved down in the order once Trout comes back.This is why I'm hoping we can somehow get the big lefty bat as well, or just him in a trade with the Marlins. He immediately goes to the cleanup spot, Escobar 5th and Pujols 6th.

Let me just throw this out there as a general thing to remember for all trade talk....

The key to a trade is the ceiling of the best prospect. 

You can't just lump together two mediocre prospects and think it's equal to one good one.
