People here disagreed with me a few days ago. when I mentioned that the starters were pitching over their heads, and I feared that might stop.

Those guys are not even 1's or 2's on most teams. They're running out of gas pitching with no offensive support. They're always pitching under pressure.

It's amazing to me that he he hasn't figured out that trying to hit a 500-foot home run with every swing is not the way to behave in the batter's box.

It's also amazing that his manager and coaches allow him to continue doing so.

I agree but when the other option is Pennington, who has seen his defense age in the offseason, it's not all that shocking. Time for Eppler to make a decision.
