They should just go to a double elimination format.  Instead of this top 2 round robin format.  Putting in formula's to determine the winner is like deciding games on WAR and BABIP and other stats.  No one wins and everyone loses.

Chacin has shut down the mighty Dominicans for 5 innings, and his velocity is up 3 or 4 MPH....

Until I started typing this and he gives up a solo hr to Polonco, but solo hr's dont usually beat you...my point was he has looked really solid. Might be a nice pick up for the Pads..

Probably because it would add another 5 hours to the travel time for teams from Asia.  Especially since they are traveling to the US just before the finals now.

I don't think my enjoyment of a game that I was watching on tv was ever changed by the crowd attending the game.

How am I supposed to get invested in this when the manager doesn't even seem to be? Why would you leave Harrison in to hit with the game on the line and way better hitters available off the bench?

Feels like this tourney is way more fun for the other countries. Wish they kept games in Miami because that atmosphere was crazy with all the fans there

Adrian whining? What a shock... Adrian complained about too many Sunday night games when he played in Boston. How bout not playing sub 500 baseball when you played all your games in Mexico, Adrian?

Agreed on manager part. Is Stanton injured? How is he not starting? That's 2 games in a row...

Seriously, I thought it was questionable having him on the roster in the first place, then starting him today was a huge wtf. Leaving him in to bat there made the play at third base feel like a total after thought because there was no way that he was going to get a hit there.

To add Leyland's management has reminded me a lot of spring training. Not much thought toward winning games, but rather, making sure guys hit their pitch counts, everyone gets their AB's and no one gets overworked.
