The Braves have more pitching prospects than they know what to do with. I always figured they'd use some of it to acquire hitting. But if they use it on Sale...well I guess that's one way to go.

I think it has always been their plan...load up with young guys and then go for it....but you have to wonder if the Cubs had a better plan....held on to most of their young guys and, rather than trades, spent money on FA's---Lester, then Heyward (bad move) and Zobrist....they did give up some young guys to get Chapman but that were all in at that point....

I thought the Kemp move showed they were in it all for show rather than to actually be in it. Sale is serious business but I don't see how he makes Atlanta any better than he's made the white sox.

My cousin who is a Braves fan, has been going on about this possibility for a while now. His brother, who is a Dodgers fan, has also been going about that possibility for a while now. I'm assuming one of them comes out happy.

Yeah I agree it's the plan and it's a reasonable one. I just think they are going too early and risk becoming the D-Backs or Padres.
