Maybe it was part of God's plan?

"When I thought about doing it for our country, it became very clear to me that our family must be in this race. And it also became clear to me that we are at a cultural crossroads in our country and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve—this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country, our country was built on Judeo-Christian values, we are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence."

- Heidi Cruz

Newspapers all over Texas are endorsing candidates other than Cruz. If his home state doesn't believe in him, I don't know how anyone else could.

The Dallas Morning News announced its endorsement of John Kasich on Friday, saying, “As much as we’d like to see a Texan in the White House, we fear that Cruz’s brand of politics is more about disruption than governing and threatens to take the Republican Party to a dark place.

Cruz’s hometown paper, the Houston Chronicle, endorsed Jeb Bush, saying that Cruz, “would be disastrous for the Republican Party, disastrous for the nation.”

The San Antonio Express-News also endorsed Bush, saying about Cruz, “the freshman senator has demonstrated a frightening willingness to push the American economy to the brink of disaster to pursue his ideological agenda — even when he clearly does not have the votes to get his way.”

"Cruz's bill would change two things:

1. It would authorize the government to revoke citizenship rights without a court conviction.

2. It would also expand the list of expatriatable offenses to include "training" and "material assistance" to terrorist groups without defining either of those terms."

That all seems pretty constitutionally sound to me!

What a dick this guy is.

i stopped watching tonight's republican debate because of teddy. holy cats, what a toolbag. every thing he's said tonight - EVERY SINGLE THING - has been a blast directed right at trump. his handlers need to tell him to STFU because he sounds like a whiny little girl.

cruz's poll numbers after the debate are going to be horrible and he's going to get creamed next tuesday because of how whiny he's been tonight. wow.
