Are we holding up the FA OF market?

i get the feeling we are holding up the whole thing at this point.
we have a clear and obvious need, but either for reality or negotiation sake we are holding onto the luxury task issue.... i almost feel like all the agents and such are trying to figure out if we are serious and what we will do before going elsewhere?
im just a little perplexed that literally none of the big guys have signed yet.

For some reason I have this visual of this whole process being like a trade show and Eppler is going from booth to booth collecting pamphlets and putting them in his complimentary grocery recycling bag.  Every time someone tries to engage him he just casually and slowly turns while pretending to read the info he just got and heads toward the next booth saying.  'Thank you.  Just browsing'

Casey Close tends to take his time as well although not near to the degree of Boras.  I think Cespedes is more of a fall back plan for most teams that are looking to add a top OFer so it makes sense that his market is yet to fully develop.  The Halos being a factor for one of these guys in important to the process though.  Theoretically, they can spend money and are likely kicking the tires on all of them so once they are out it's one less person to bid against.  

 

I think Heyward will be first to go.

I think the big OF'ers available have multiple teams that are interested.  Once we see the first one sign and set the market then the other dominoes will fall.
