The second amendment was created so individuals of the nation could protect themselves. "Supporting the natural rights of self-defense, resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense of the state."

If guns were used in that way, we'd have much different conversations around here. Sadly, this has nothing to do how most people use them today.

And your suggestion about if cops have them then why can't we is about as fatalistic and dangerous as it can be.

That story sounds like total BS. Was this guy able to get his buddies to volunteer their life for his grievance and go shoot random people?

 

He was probably casing the place, for example, to see if there were any armed guards or security. He then went and got the other two and they returned to commit the previously planned mass murder.

 

This was not the result of an 'argument' at a holiday party. The suspects who were killed later by police shot it out with the cops and were heavily armed. There was also at least one bomb left behind in the building that was blown up this evening by police.

L.A. Times is reporting that Syed Farook traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet Malik, whom he met online. They have a six-month old baby girl.

 

Also, there are some reports tonight that there were only two shooters.

Okay. Thanks for answering my question and not responding with an emotionally charged knee jerk reaction.

If police officers decide they need certain weapons to defend themselves, why shouldn't we be able to have them as well? Because as we know, the bad guys come after us (the citizens) first.
