A comment really summed up my thought process when I saw the article. The worst part of this whole story is being stuck with an 11 1/2 month lease in North Dakota.

That's what you have to do to make it in business.   Most people have to pay their dues, especially on air people.   It sucks, especially when you come from a big city making more at Starbucks, than you do at these stations (typically these anchor/reporters in small markets make $9 an hour.)

Yeah, I have a couple friends that were or are in the biz. I wanted to go down this path once and never did then heard from them and others how hard it is to make it or what they had to go through. It's like a life internship until you get the call from a major market or SportsCenter.
