TV Anchor's First Day on the job ends up being his last.

That's what you have to do to make it in business.   Most people have to pay their dues, especially on air people.   It sucks, especially when you come from a big city making more at Starbucks, than you do at these stations (typically these anchor/reporters in small markets make $9 an hour.)

Yeah, I have a couple friends that were or are in the biz. I wanted to go down this path once and never did then heard from them and others how hard it is to make it or what they had to go through. It's like a life internship until you get the call from a major market or SportsCenter.

Some of these comments on the article are golden:

Fired?!?! That's outrageous.

I mean, other than the profanity, the rest of the segment went so well!
A.J. even taught us what it means to be from "in the East Coast."

meanwhile, the Hispanic unemployment rate in Bismarck just skyrocketed 100%.

Love the look on the womans face.

Haha. That one can't even be brushed off as "dang, I didn't know the mic was on." It was right in the middle of the segment! What was he thinking?
