I think he is more of a Glenn Frey "You Belong to the City," "Smuggler's Blues" type of guy becase of the connection to Miami Vice.

I saw him recently on Austin City Limits. He didn't play any Eagles songs (probably because he'd be forced to sue himself for copyright infringement), but he did play Boys of Summer. The guy can still hit those notes. Sounded spot on.

Nope. Music by women was better the decades before and after the 80s.

 

I suppose Joan Jett and Missing Persons were close, but none of their albums stands out like Rumours, Dreamboat Annie, or Tapestry.
