Joyce will probably stay on the DL until September 1, then be let back on when rosters expand.   Not because there's any real use for him, but they're already paying for him and he does provide depth, technically.  And it'd be kinda awful to have your career end by being kneed by Aybar.

I wish Stamets the best of luck. Truly a defensive wizard but his bat was always way behind for the most part. I do wonder what the Angels hope or plan to do in the future to replace Aybar but that is for another time and another place. Right now it's all about winning!

For what it's worth: Murphy is 3 for his last 32 with 0 extra base hits since july 9th.

Maybe its one of them there change of scenery trades.
