    My kid faced his Newport team this summer in an all star tournament. I like him. 1)Only coach not wearing a full uniform 2)I barely know what he sounds like. Unlike the other bags, he doesn't make it about him. Coached hard but never demeaned his boys. 3)His team could hit the ball but their defense was awful. They didn't advance. 4)His kids name is Nixon(yeah, Nixon Kennedy)and is very good. 5)Assistant coach was HOT! Distractingly hot. Not sure if it's his wife?

    Relieved and surprised to see I'm not the only myopic So Cal sports fan who doesn't think highly of the national treasure that is/was Kobe Bryant. I could elaborate, but by all accounts, he was a good father. RIP Gianna.

    The ONLY reason any team would pick him up would be to put butt's in the seats. His elderly, drunk friend in CHI doesn't want him. The ONLY team he made his HOF career with doesn't want him.     We're trying too hard to believe the hype with Adell. Believe your eyes. He's not anything special. I'm sure I'm not alone, but when I watched Mike Trout's 40 games in the summer of 2011(at least 15 in person)that I told my friends this may be the best all around baseball player I've ever seen. Adell will probably be a fine major leaguer, but he's not special. I have more faith in the Hunter kid.

    I like that the basic sports fan(Lebron James, Patrick Mahomes jock sniffer)doesn't like baseball. It's too 'slow' for them.

    Giants @ Dbacks on 8/30/03 It was Bonds first game back after his father died, and he homered in his 2nd AB. He was so overwhelmed they removed him from the game shortly after. The guy's a total dickhead, but he was obviously very close with his old man and you couldn't help but root for him in that moment.

    We're in a day & age where our athletes are 'me first' over 'team first'. I get it. I don't respect it. He's not getting the deal he feels he deserves, so he quit on his team. I think it's as simple as that.
