Anyway, I can't help but feel bad for Frieri. The guy was so dominant in 2012 and then suddenly fell of a cliff the following year. His fastball was the epitome of electric, the movement and velocity was insane.

ernesto is a really nice guy, but sports are a fickle mistress. he made the big leagues out of a country that has no history of producing major leaguers. he's a success no matter how he goes out.

I am relieved he's not pitching for the Angels anymore because, well, blown saves and all. Still, as a person he seems like a really nice guy, so I feel bad for him.

When I think of Ernesto, I think of two things:

 

1. His no hit streak when he first come over from the Pads

 

2. His HR's that he gave up to the Royals after Greinke through that gem.  That game seemed to be the beginning of the end
