There is no guarantee the skankees make the playoffs either, I can see the redsuxs trying their best to ruin the Yankees playoff hopes same with baltimore. Wouldn't that be something.

Red Sox record is 15-10 in September.  They are finishing strong under Luvullo.  

 

Let's say they thye do get swept at home by the less than great Red Sox, they end with 3 on the road with a decent Orioles team who would probably be equally as motivated to kill the Yanks playoff hopes.

Lots of stuff going on....and the playoff matches are going to be great too.

Even the Cardinals have come back to earth, and have had some tough breaks and injuries...

Teams are evenly matched and there really aren't clear favorites, except maybe Toronto.

If that happened it would be one of the worst collapses ever. Mattingly would be gone, and who knows, Scioscia might opt out and be hired there.
