Cubs win with 17 hits against the Bucs, taking 3 of 4 on the road in Pittsburg, and closing the WC gap to 2 games.

In a side note, Box score shows Blanton gave up 3 runs on 3 hits, retiring nobody.

Pirates and Cubs will undoubtedly still meet in the play-in game, with Arrieta on the mound.

Things are going to get wild on the North Side.

If they continue their collapse the Rangers might well have the division sewn up by the time we get there, which could work in our favor if they decide to phone it in.
