Now that the Giants have just been mathematically eliminated in the National League West standings, what started in Arizona is now official: Major League Baseball has set a competitive-balance record by assuring 15 consecutive years without a repeat champion.

I'd love to see the Bucs and Cards tie...giving the Cubs a chance to play the Cards instead of the Bucs in the WC game.

Pirates and Cubs moving on would be the best outcome in that division.

Interesting (probably only to me) that STL and PIT end their seasons playing weekend series against ATL and CIN...

Twins just keep on winning.  They could be a problem if the Angels stumble at all this weekend.  The Twins could end up edging out both the Astros and Angels, and the Rangers could take the division.  I hope the Royals come to play in their 3 game series with them.
