This thread is funny. Years ago my buddy and i had a conversation about this, about how the lakers get A listers for pre season camp, and the angels during the world series got like the russian coach from rocky 4 and the dad from alf as the celebrities seen at the games.

Im sure we have real ones, it just may not be as publicized.

True story, the ONLY one i remember them pointing out during the world series was davis hasselhoff....which is either parhetic or awesome depending on your point of view. Like, hes a shitty musician but he drove KIT. And eats hamburgers cooler than all of us put together

In all seriousness, my dad is "in the industry" and has heard that Will Ferrell is a HUGE Angel fan, but he hardly goes to games because he gets mobbed. But seeing those pictures of him in Dodger gear makes me sad. It would be like finding pictures of your wife with Derek Jeter.

Favorite team: "Mine is the California Angels. I grew up in Southern California, my father was a huge Angels fan. So it was cool in the '70s because the Angels were this tar pit where all the old dinosaurs would go to die (laughs). I grew up watching Nolan Ryan pitch, Frank Tanana, Bobby Grich, Frank Robinson, Bobby Valentine, Reggie Jackson, so it was really cool seeing all those guys at the tail end of their careers. Except for Ryan, of course. He went back to the Republic of Texas and threw a couple no-hitters.

Gosh, I think I've been to almost every stadium at this point, you know. Old Yankee Stadium, me and Jerry went to a game there and it was really nice. We're trying to hit all these cathedrals before they close down."

 

Favorite major league ballpark: "I like Angel Stadium. (Laughs) Something feels right with the world when I walk through the gates. I'm like, 'Oh, OK, cool.' It's just something familiar from my childhood."
