I had my doubts if Shoemaker was legitimately as good as he was pitching, but that doubt is gone.  His numbers are absolutely filthy.  He hasn't shown any sign of regression, hitters still havent figured him out even the 2nd and 3rd time facing him.  If he really is an ace then we should have a deep postseason run.

Oblique strains can nag though and are very easy to re-aggravate. At least it sounds like they caught it early. No reason or incentive to really have him make either of his last 2 remaining starts. Let him rest up
