I can't believe we're only a couple of outs away from being 1 game back after that last series. If Oakland loses this we've gained 1/2 game since the All Star Break and while floating around .500

 

Just means Oakland has been even worse.

 

 

Angels gaining that 1/2 game while playing all these tough teams while the A's have mostly been playing the Rangers and Astros

 

Royals offense isn't good but they are 3rd in the AL(I believe) in team ERA and their bullpen is dynamite. A's have to play the Rays next, who also pitch well

Yup. The ASB was not friendly to the A's at all. And that Cespedes stat that I saw and today's outcome gives me hope that maybe his loss means more than we thought.

I admittedly never, eeeever expected Oakland to struggle like this out of the ASB, not with that schedule. Splitting 6 games with the Astros?

That rout of the O's two Sundays back probably seems like a zillion years back for the A's.
