Would you want the Angels to try and put together a trade package for Troy Tulowitzki?

Recommended Posts

Career at home:  .323/.398/.563

on the road:  .275/.349/.470

So he's basically Cal Ripken (.276/.340/.447 career) on the road, and Miguel Cabrera (.320/.397/.566 career) at home.  Coors definitely helps him tremendously, but he's still a darn good offensive SS on the road.

All while playing elite defense

Coors products aren't that good.

I once took a tour of the Coors brewery. It was very interesting.

At the end of the day once they have bottled all the Coors, the leftover beer at the bottom of all the tanks is pooled together and that becomes the Keystone Light. Finally, all the beer that splashed around and ended up on the floors is mopped up and wrung out into another big bin and that becomes the Keystone Ice.

No way, as shown above he is still a good hitter away from home, but not any better then Aybar.  He is hitting even worse away from Coors then he normally does this year and his defense isn't that much better then Aybars, especially considering Aybar is having a great year defensively.  If for any reason we were going to trade a bunch of players away I would rather them take a stab at Price.  Either way, trying to add offense to a team that is #3 in runs scored and will probably be #1 soon is really not a top priority.

Hell no. The Angels don't need offense

They especially don't need to weaken other areas for a guy that might not give the team more offense (when you factor in the players you're losing in the trade).

The Angels could improve offensively, defensively, and on the mound.  Even if you are the best in the league in one category, you can usually improve.

That said, I don't see this happening.  The Angels don't really have the young players to pull off a deal for a player of Tulowitzki's caliber.   His contract is pretty reasonable.

Thanks for the very obvious comment and thanks for ignoring most of my comment.
