Trout's continued dominance is bringing the rest of the contributors and the team in general pretty good media attention (Passan loves Trout - so he likely pays more attention to our full team).

If Trout doesnt exist, I doubt Garrett Richards name is getting as much mention for Cy Young, and Matt Shoemaker being mentioned at all in ROY. (Ex: Jered Weavers dominant years while the team struggled)

None the less, I love seeing pieces like this that just praise the organization top to bottom.

The haters are out in the comments if anyone needs a few good laughs.

Funny thing about Trout and Cabrera is they seemed to bring out the best in each other last season. Head to head match ups Tigers vs Angels the Angels won every single game and it was not because Cabrera was shut down.

2013 Trout vs Tigers .419/406/.710/1.116 2 home runs

2013 Cabrera vs Angels .435/.500/.783/1.283 2 home runs

They fed off if each other with an anything you can do I can do better, attitude. The only team Trout played better against last season was Milwaukie but that was just one 3 game series. Cabrera had 8 teams that he played better than when facing the Angels. Still, he was near peak form with Trout on the other end of the scoreboard.

This season is a completely different story, it is like The Tale of Two Mathis. Trout has a .200 AVG and .733 OPS and Cabrera a shocking .091 AVG and .468 OPS. Granted this was just one series and it was when both players were slumping but it seems like they were still competing in the wrong direction. Now that they are back on track the upcoming series in Anaheim starting on the 24th should provide some fireworks.

Cabrera isn't really back on track.
