Thing I like the most about him is his awareness on the ice. Seems to read the play very well. Doesn't get caught out of position much.

Did he play some at Center in college or at Juniors?

He played C in college. The Ducks have him working C/LW currently.

He played at Wisconsin, not in juniors (if you play in the CHL, you can't play in the NCAA since they consider them "pros"). I know he played some center at Wisconsin, I just don't know how much he played there.

I haven't seen the kid play yet, but Brandon Montour sounds like another Justin Schultz, in terms of playing style.

Ah, I see! Once again, I'm not sure if he played center in that tournament, but he might've. IIRC, I think he played some center in the american junior league (USHL (not considered a pro league fyi)) before he went to Wisconsin.  He definitely played some center at Wisconsin though.

Kerdiles was playing LW/C during the scrimmages. His fast track to the Ducks will be converting fully to LW.

he has looked bad the last few seasons but if the deal is cheap 1-2mil I think he is worth the risk.  The twins can make any LW look good

Eric Stephens reporting a deal could be done today. Looks like Dany Heatley will be a Duck. Not the biggest fan of this. I'd much rather have Kerdiles filling one of the LW spots instead. Who knows though. Maybe Murray rolling the dice on this one pays off.

Heatley has been piss poor for the Wild. Fans here hate him. Huge disappointment and a waste on the ice both offensively and defensively. I don't understand this signing regardless of the dollars.

Nice I like this deal a lot and I'm not even a Heatley fan.  One year @ 1mil is perfect.  He has to produce to earn a contract next year and if he looks like '12-'13 Heatley than it doesn't hurt to release him.  Solid move

That still leaves Etem and Kerdiles out of a spot. I imagine that one of DSP/Maroon/Beleskey get traded. Possibly two of them. I really hope Maroon stays though. I'd be okay with trading DSP and Beleskey.
