I hope he can avoid that long dreaded slump he always goes through every year and hit 40+.

He's actually behind Brandon Belt in HR and tied with the awesome Casey McGehee in RBI.

I was against the trade from the second it was announced.  Whenever we let our promising young power hitters go (Glaus, Napoli, now Trumbo) it bites us in the ass, these guys don't grow on trees.  I only would have traded Trumbo for a major league starting pitcher who was equallty as promising, or two young arms with better minor league track records than Skaggs and Santiago.

Skaggs, by himself, is at least as equally promising as Trumbo.

Skaggs was a top 20 prospect at the start of 2013.

April and May have never been the issue for Trumbo, it's the whole rest of the season that goes terribly wrong.   I really do hope he finds some consistency and has a great year though.  And if he does I still won't have a problem with the trade, because he brought two vital pieces to this team.

Good for Mark. It's good to see him making a great first impression with the Arizona fans, but I'm sure he'd be the first to tell you that his stats are meaningless if his team isn't winning.
