When I first heard about the competition plan I thought it was a good idea. I still due. But reading through these posts and stats I am now pretty worried about the bullpen. Looking like a weak link for sure. We need another quality arm out there...

Sorry for being late to the party on this thread. Going to start hitting the site more often. I'm pretty optimistic about Espionsa. His average and strikeout rate were punished by batting in front of pitchers. It's easy to develop some bad habits when you are getting pitched around so often. He could easily boost his numbers much like we saw from Simmons last year.

I watch fewer games. Usually when the team sucks I like to watch the young prospects get some ABs. But we don't have much of that to watch either.

Agree with Chuck on this one. Cron's been way to streaky and the cold streaks have been brutal. After 3 years in the show you have a good idea on what kind of player you have. He needs to be moved down the depth chart if he doesn't get hot in the next week or two.

It's sad to see Weaver like this. No way he walks away from $18mil. I suspect he spend a ton of time on the DL this season.
