No, a half ton of pine dropped on his head. Logging accident, the tree had some rot and broke along the wrong line. He was pinned underneath and when he woke 3days later he was blind.

More on Grandpa. He was a logger, a lousy husband, a drunk and womanizer. My Grandmother divorced him about two years before the logging accident.

After the accident he had his epiphany and changed his life, quit drinking and settled down with one woman to work a turkey and pig farm.

They never had kids of their own but adopted severe retarded children from the State institutions, home schooling and taught them trade skills so they could become independent.

By the time Grandpa passed away they had 8 kids go through their home, four ended up married, two live on their own and two ended up returning to a state program.

Out of curiosity, how do we come to this conclusion? Is it the number killed argument again?

More delivery drivers will be killed this year than troops killed in Syria and Afghanistan will. Does that make deploying to Syria or Afganistan not dangerous?
