Since the bluejays wrote the contract you'd have to ask them...keep in mind the year before we got him...he actually had a pretty decent year.

The key with having the Wells game used pants card is having a splinter in the cut.

I'm thinking of the poor young Angels' fan who just his pack of baseball cards and is so excited, hoping to get a Mike Trout, or maybe an Albert Pujols or Josh Hamilton. Hell, he would probably take a Mark Trumbo, Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson or Howie Kendrick.

 

He opens the pack, and sees that it's a game used memorabilia one, and he's thinking "Woah, this is so awesome!" and as he pulls the card out, the smile begins to fade from his face. He knows it's not Trout, but maybe it's one of those other guys! That would be okay too!

 

And as he pulls the card all the way out....

The "Game Used" portion of this card is the area of his pants that hit the left field wall when Vernon fell into the seats on a Home Run that was pretty much heading towards the upper decks.
