What a game! A great swing/run producer > playing with emotion

Love it as well, but the Albert ankle roll at the end of the game is not good. Thankful done with interleague play for a bit and Albert can go back to the DL, oops I meant DH....

Angels finally get a catcher who is hitting over .200! Unbelievable that he is hurt! Has anyone else ever noticed how Soto throws the ball back to the pitchers? He always falls forward on his knees, legs spread out at an awkward angle and lobs it to the pitcher. Get up and throw the ball back like a man. Other than that, he is solid behind the plate.

Dehydration....and here I thought he had come down with Mono and they were hiding that---didn't realize the lie was so much worse. I feel like I am in a Twilight Zone episode....this day really sucks. I will now drink heavily (but not drive!) while watching the game from a suite Sunday at the stadium. Unfreakin' believable!!

Bottom line: Albert needs to salvage what is left of his playing years and strictly DH. He needs to concentrate on what the club needs from him the most and that's his bat. If he continues to play 1B---in about 4 to 5 weeks and we will see him hobbling to first base again when he tries to run out a ground ball to SS. I give him big kudos for his efforts, but he needs to be realistic now! DH DH DH !!!!!

A gold glove winner and an All Star for the Angels who represented the game well with heart and hustle. Going to miss seeing him, Pujols and Trout cracking each other up. For some reason, this hurts more than the Howie trade. Good Luck Erick....someday when you come back to Angels Stadium, you will get a hero's welcome for sure!!!

I'm still waiting for him to get through an entire season of being off of the disabled list while in an Angels uniform, or trying to run in excruciating pain.....I think DH will most certainly help with that. I respect the guy fully for his grit and determination to play no matter how he feels, but I want him to be productive in this 2nd chapter of his career.

AP needs to be moved to permanent DH. I wish he would accept this fate and move on.

Torii Hunter is a class act. True competitor, a great teammate, and always appreciated the fans. The video clip of him "swimming" in the pool of champagne is classic! God bless Mr. Hunter. I hope you have a very long and happy life after baseball. PS. If you get bored, feel free to come back to the Angels and coach 3rd base

I guess reality hasn't sunk in yet for a few Angelswin fans. Don't get me wrong, I would love for the Halos to make the playoffs....but more importantly, to ADVANCE in the playoffs. They are not build for an October run. I commend you for coming up with 8 reason why they will make the playoffs, but I can think of many more reasons why they won't. My feeling is this: we need to get a World Series win before 2020 or the team will definitely lose potentially one of the best players in the history of the sport. Trout will walk if he doesn't get a ring here, period. That my friends, makes me sad. Hopefully a new GM, and potentially a new manager next year (fingers crossed), will shake things up, make intelligent signings in the offseason, and turn this team around. Peace out...

Apparently Boston wants Colorado Rockies players....got the right guy for that.

I'm with Lawrence and the U-verse reliability commercial real f'ing drives me crazy. Especially when it comes on after an inning where the Angels implode; the commercial is at times symbolic of their meltdowns. =(

Having my morning coffee and reading this post started my day off with a good laugh....from "season over" to "lets build on this." It is a great read! I have to admit, however, while watching the game last night I had many of the same "season over" emotions as you all had. Hopefully the team does build on this from here on out. Go Halos!!!

Troy Percival is coaching at is HS Alma Mater, Moreno Valley HS. Doing great things for their program and putting a lot of his own money into as well. Class act all the way!

Kid's first game in the bigs....relax people. I think we were all very spoiled by Trout's more than easy transition to the big show. Trout set the bar so high that now there seems to be an expectation of greatness right out of the gate. Two hits in his first MLB game...let's talk about how the Angels need offense right now and how Kubbie did his job on that aspect of the game.

First time since Albert has been an Angel, I witnessed an at bat that truly shows his stuff. With the count 3-1, Albert thought he got a pitch out of the strike zone, but was rung up for a strike. He got back into the box and drove the 3-2 pitch out of the park. As an Angel player, I've seen him take a pitch like that, roll over on it, and ground out....but not last night. That was a vintage Albert at bat...one of a kind player, future Hall of Famer. Yeah, maybe Albert will never be the great, consistant hitter for us as he was for the Cards. But hey---we are truly blessed as Angels fans to be able to watch Albert Pujols and Mike Trout take the field every night and do some great things! Hopefully Albert will continue on this roll and have a great season for us! Go Halos!!!!

How is Arte to blame in all of this? Two things of importance in the contract with Hamilblow.... 1. The Angels gave him a sh** ton of money to perform on the baseball field 2. He needed to stay clean Hamilblow is still getting all of the money promised to him by Arte, while he managed to not perform on the field, and managed not to stay clean. Yep, Arte is to blame in all of this.

I'm a little concern with the Street's contract extension being a bit of a distraction for him. Contract extensions should be done deals prior to opening day.

Gia and Perez have shown the team that they know how to win....impressive.
