  1. Please please please.....whomever does the Hitler rant videos needs to do one for the Josh debacle. That rant will go viral!!!!
  2. I'm so tired of people saying it is Arte's fault in all of this.... The Angels believed in the MVP Josh Hamilton, so much so that they invested a ton of money on him, gave him his accountability partner, and welcomed him here with open arms---even knowing he was an addict. Josh has been through rehab (probably several times), and no doubt was told a billion times during rehab that any time you feel the need to abuse again, CALL SOMEBODY: An accountability partner, a trusted friend, family members, one of the numerous teammates you've had thru the years, church friends, hell...go to local AA meeting and just sit there. Or simply, think of your beautiful daughter's faces and realize you are hurting them beyond belief.. Josh MADE THE CHOICE to buy or call someone to supply a drug to him, sat with the drug in hand knowing it could change his life once again, and HE CHOSE to ingest said drug.....He needs to be accountable for his choice to abuse again--it's not Arte's fault. God bless those of you out there that are recovering addicts who do not have the endless supply of emotional support that Josh was given, and you rose above it all and made the CHOICE of not abusing drugs again. Yes, a daily struggle for sure, but you did it!!!! Congrats to you and I pray that you continue in your recovery. Josh, I have no sympathy for, sorry. Good riddance club house cancer!!!
  3. King Felix had 12 k's...relax people, he is a great pitcher
  4. AngelsSurfer: "Look at the way he's "rehabbing" his injury - he's not with the team. He's got no timeline. He doesn't seem to be progressing. Now compare that to other Angels, like Skaggs, who isn't going to playing MLB until 2016 and still came to Spring Training, does public events and want to be with the team." Surfer, you are spot on! Not only Skaggs, but look how hard Richards has worked since having MAJOR knee surgery in Tempe, AZ, and not rehabbing at a "friend's ranch." Richards has surpassed all expectations of recovery so far---why, because he truly cares and wants to contribute to this team. And no timeline for Hamilton's return from minor shoulder surgery---ridiculous.
  5. Fantastic story! And I love Champ's name.....probably short for Champion, which is exactly what Albert is! They both have a lot in common =)
  6. Guess what.... I got a fever and the only prescription is: MORE COWGILL
  7. LOL then....I'm sure Mrs. Mota was not too thrilled that he was showing off his muscle meat to Alex!
  8. The sad thing here that is often overlooked is that for an addict, certain pressures in life cause relapses. With that being said, there is no doubt that the pressures of being an MLB player, with a huge contract, a bar set pretty high being a previous AL MVP, and having the season he had last year probably contributed to the relapse. Hamilton needs a break from baseball to get his life back on track, period. He needs to focus on himself and his family. As much as a disappointment he has been as an Angels player, I want him to succeed in life and get healthy. He can potentially die from his addiction....being an MLB player is not worth it. Mr. Hamilton, please do what is right. Stay out of baseball until you get your life back on track. You should make that decision and not leave that up to an arbitrator. God bless you and your family on your recovery.
  9. Sad to see that we won't be getting more Angels talk in the morning now with it being handed over to Mike and Mike. The Roger Lodge "break-ins" seem odd to me. Will there still be the Sports Lodge in the afternoons or is that getting axed too? Also, I always had trouble with Travis' "Um, Okay" after each time he tried to make his point--that was annoying. Reminded me of a South Park character....
  10. What's the over/under on how many times A-Roid is going to get plunked by pitchers this year
  11. Saw this on Craigslist: Left Fielder for Sale Is great with the outside pitch Loves the fans Eyesight has improved since he gave up energy drinks Doesn't chew tabacco anymore...ok, maybe he cheats a little with this Promises .300/100/30 Occasionally gets injured Bonus: we will throw in his lucrative contract just to get rid of him Dial 1-800-Bad-Signing for more details....ask for Arte
  12. Seriously? Hamilton just needs to go away, period. What does he care...he's making a boatload of money, going to be on TV, and now has the opportunity to take some heavy duty pain meds. Don't get me wrong, hate for him to go back to his addictive ways, but it looks like he wants nothing to do with baseball anymore.
  13. Finally! Congrats to the Millville kid. How wonderful it is to watch you play out here in So Cal. Next up: 2015 World Series MVP: Mike Trout
  14. Way to go Shoe! Congrats on a fantastic year. Looking forward to seeing what you can do next season!
  15. They ALL need to learn how to hit the breaking ball, not just Howie
  16. A thread explaining what "buzzsaw" games/series are...sad state of affairs this ALCS lose has done to us and to the daily boards. Hey, bright-side---it's almost Halloween so buzzsaw opinions are pretty much all the rage right now. Go Halos 2015!
  17. What to go Josh....way to show the younger players what NOT TO SAY when speaking of your less than desirable performance in the ALDS. Kid Fish--if you were anywhere near this interview, I hope you had your ear buds on, playing your walk up song, and getting pumped up for the 2015 season and not listening to this a whiny, self-absorbed, non-accountable idiot. Sorry, but he deserved all of the boos he got in the series.
  18. We will win if Hamilton is out of the line up! Remember-- one hitter does make a diffence in a line up, as demonstrated superbly by the Chokeland A's.
  19. One game in a 5 game playoff series is HUGE. Especially since: 1. Shoemaker is a question mark ( I hope not, but he will be playing injured) 2. Nibs is pitching game 3, nuff said there 3. Weaver will be going on short rest....historically not good numbers when he does that 4. If this offense continues, we are doomed. Ok, I've vented....lets get them in game 2
  20. Freese truly is the only postseason veteran who obviously plays as expected, unlike the other postseason veterans on this team (with the exception of Weaver) And Scioscia takes him out.....un-f'ng-believable
