Great potential, but I think Eichel will be better

He looks incredible even just compared to the first two or three games. So smooth, fast and effortless. He's taking more shots and is clearly gaining confidence by the shift. I love watching him and Yakupov together.

Down 3-0 after the 1st period, Draisaitl gets his first goal on a deflection in his first game this season, McDavid with two assists... I'm on the edge of my couch watching this team for the first time since 2006!

I agree. I was actually embarrassed when they won the lottery last year because the Lowe/MacTavish regime did nothing to deserve that lottery win. Fortunately they were quickly disposed of by Bob Nicholson but yeah... another no. 1 pick would be ridiculous. I often wonder how Hall, Nugent-Hopkins and Yakupov would've fared on other teams. Hall would be an absolute superstar anywhere else.

I mean look at what getting away from the Oilers in just the past four years did for guys like Andrew Cogliano, Tom Gilbert, Jeff Petry, Devan Dubnyk.... alright I have to stop before I set myself on fire.

Alright I'll bump this thread next year when this franchise sucks once again. I just watch out of habit at this point. My eyes kinda glaze over by mid-second period. I fell asleep last night after the Sens went up 3-1. That was cool.
