Jason Giambi Quotes

Recommended Posts

He became the oldest person to hit a walk off home run in mlb history. I was more impressed by his quotes as it reminds me of what the angels are not at the moment.

"I'm a little old to be dunked with water. I love it. I've been preaching all year one guy is not more important than another and it's going to take all 25 of us, even more than that, to win ballgames and we've done it all year. It's just exciting to be a part of it."

"That's what keeps you coming back," Giambi said. "There's no moment more special than when you get that embrace from your teammates and all those smiles. It's exciting."

"I love how we're growing and that's what I keep telling them, we're growing and we're going to keep learning and learning and getting better and better," Giambi said. "Even in the down times we were learning. It's exciting how it's all coming together."

His 713 OPS is better than half our team. I just wish the angels were having the same excitement. I don't know if we have anybody on our team like Giambia that is a player/coach. Tori was last year, I don't think we have it this year.

Old Guys Rule!.... I yelled after crushing a grand-slam to break a tie, and eventually lead our team to a win vs. the first-place team a couple weeks ago!  Of course, my shot only went about 340 and was not medically-enhanced.  But at 45 years old, and against a flame throwing lefty, it felt pretty good...

I've said it before... Whenever I get the ears of the young guys on the Bags, I implore them to ride baseball for as long as they can....  I'll be paying to play for a long time to come, hopefully..
