I wonder when people are going to finally figure out that there is no turning this franchise around…

...unless there's a total rebuild which includes the farm. 5-7 years and we're back in the hunt.

Just a complete teardown and then a rebuild. Trout's the only one whose job is safe. Everybody else can go. And of course Arte needs to exit.

Arte Moreno must be so proud of what he’s done to this franchise.

And make no mistake, it’s ALL on him, no other common denominators since 2010.

He's a wealthy POS, and he couldn't care less.  He's a Narcissist, just like the guy he openly supports.  At some point, he'll parachute out with a Huge profit on his investment.  That's really all that matters to him.

Unlike the former mayor of Anaheim, who just plead guilty in court, he has enough money and power to make himself immune from criminal prosecution.  But I'm guessing he was involved up to his eyeballs in the criminal activity which went on.

Are we still pretending the FBI cares about Arte being wealthy?  They didn’t go after Arte because they didn’t have evidence.  It’s that simple. Also of course he cares, he just sucks at being an owner.

Who remembers this game? I was listening in my room doing homework.

I ended up nearly giving my mom a heart attack who was passed out on the couch in the living room as I busted through my bedroom door screaming like my ass was on fire after Dick Schofield hit that walk-off grand slam.

Best. Come Back. Ever.

#8 on our Top-50 Greatest Moments in Angels Baseball feature.

And three hours earlier, I made my only visit to Fenway Park to see Boston best Cleveland 4-3.

Bad timing that tainted my memory of the experience

Not only is this turning into a repeat of 2022, but also 2019.

2019 and 2023 teams were both 54-49 after 103 games, snd then totally collapsed and had somebody on the pitching coaching staff that didn’t belong?   White 2019, either Wise or Hezel in 2023

It reminds me of the 1999 team. That team quit on Terry Collins. This team looks like it has quit on Phil Nevin.

Ah, here comes the trade Neto, O'Hoppe, Detmers, Sandoval, Silseth, and Schanuel crowd again.

So who do you think we can get for Schanuel? A compensation round pick in the 2024 draft? Or do we trade him for some player taken after the pick he went in this year's draft? Meaning, a player we just passed on to take Schanuel?

Yep, talk about unlikely hero!

I was at that game, still have the ticket stub in a box here somewhere.  Very glad my dad didn't get out the car keys in the 7th. He let us stay. I don't think my dad ever left any sporting event early for the rest of his life after that game.

Was at the game the next night also. Another 9th inning walk off HR, from Doug DeCinces.

I expect Sparky Anderson broke a few things in the clubhouse that series.

This collapse has been a team effort.

Before the All-Star Break, 11 of their 12 hitters with the most at bats had an OPS of at least .679. Only Rengifo was below and he was at .638

Since the break, only 3 of the top 15 have. Ohtani 1.129 & Rengifo .970. Ward 1.115 12 of the 15 are .676 or lower. 7 of them are .563 or lower.
