How are you gonna defend Nevin walking Harper, only for Bohm to hit a 3-run HR after?

Why would you put the tying run on-base and send the go-ahead run to the plate?

Bohm was hitting .360 and an .878 OPS with RISP entering today.

Harper the last 12 games has a line of  .432/.546/.932/1.477 and had already crushed a home run his previous at bat. He is playing like he using a God Mode cheat.

Bohm in the same stretch has been hitting .229/.296/.417/.713 and that is how you justify walking Harper.

Then you might as well not pitch to Harper at all then.

It’s not like there were 2 outs and they were trying to get the 3rd out against Bohm instead of Harper.

This was a surreal experience. Almost like an NFL exhibition game being played with some players who know they are being cut but still playing. Except it was a regular season game.

The Philly broadcasters were baffled by it too.

Ironic that Grichuk had an impressive audition for a potential future team.

Anderson has been consistent all season. Can't get through a fifth or sixth inning without a major eruption of runs given up in an inning.

Rengifo really has been a bright spot. He may even equal or better last year's numbers.

The pitching staff needs a major overhaul and reconfiguration. And their coaching group has to be replaced.
