These are some of the worst at bats you could hope to see. Snell couldn't find the strike zone without the Angels swinging at trash in the dirt or the umpire calling pitches off the plate strikes.

What's the point of having a good eye at the plate when the ump misses calls by a wide margin? And i don't buy the argument about them having their own parameters from game to game. It's their job to have near perfect recognition of the strike zone. Hitters train for that. Bring on the electronic ump! I've watched a lifetime of games messed up by bad calls. It's not cute or quirky apologizing for the uniqueness of each umps strike zone from game to game.

There is something wrong with their collective approach with RISP. It’s most of the line up too. Its weird and needs to be fixed

I remember we would have constant arguments here over whether being "clutch" was a real thing. Now that may not be a real thing, but the opposite exists and the Angels prove that without a doubt.
