On that day, 53 years ago today, I was totally oblivious of what Clyde Wright was doing to Oakland because I was still in Vietnam fighting NVA and VC and trying to survive. I was successful at that and was outa there by September. Recon, 3rd battalion/8th infantry regiment, 4th Infantry Division. I’m still kick in’

Wow, that's awesome @TurboFan. Thank you for sharing that and THANK YOU for your service.

When you have some time check out our interview with Clyde Wright back in 2011.

Luis Rengifo needs to go.

.593 OPS and he's your starting RF because he hit lefties last year.

The Angels need to cut ties with him.

Amen to that. I just don't get why Moniak is sitting. It is not like Rengifo brings a howitzer to right field. He certainly doesn't bring a bat to the plate or speed on the base path.

So Nevin won’t play Moniak vs Snell because he struggles vs lefties so instead he plays Rengifo in RF?  Yeah that makes sense. Don’t play the guy who struggles vs lefties - play the guy who struggles against everybody.

I hear you brother. Moniak is a .300+ hitter with power and has shown clutch hitting. You find a way to get a bat like that in the lineup; that us Baseball 101.  How does Phil know he can't hit lefties; he never gets the chance. The more he hits against them, the better he will get. Wow. Rengifo is tearing the cover off the ball tonight, though. Also, that glove and arm is a weapon.

Moniak has one total hit against lefties in his career, a bunt single. If Moniak played regularly against lefties he’d no longer be a .300 hitter.

He hasn't gotten a chance to hit lefties since breaking out. Did Moniak hit righties ever with the Phillies?

1 for 33 career like that means anything. Rendon is 4 for 44 right now.

Small minds react to small sample sizes.

Hi Strad. How have you been? You may be right, but I like the odds with Moniak vs what Rengifo is bringing.
