First Base Targets

Assuming the Angels decided to pursue a “solution” for first base through a trade, let’s hear your suggested target or targets.

Goldschmidt might be the answer.  Our Starters are beginning to pitch well, our bll pen has begun to pitch well.  He maybe "the piece".  I would give up Adell, Soriano, Bush for him.

Hosmer or W Myers are essentially free so I'd suggest getting one while we figure out a trade.

Goldschmidt is the obvious.

Andrew Vaughn could be an interesting guy.

Someone else mentioned Grandal and move Thais to 1B.

I suggested a Giolito and Grandall type of trade.

I know Rendon is hurt now from getting HBP (so it wasn’t getting hurt playing third).  But is there any sense to putting him at first when he is back?  He was always a premium defender at 3B but his throwing now makes me a little nervous.

That would open up more possible trade targets who play 3B.

Cody Bellinger?

Try and tap into some serious “chip on your shoulder” motivation?  Yeah, maybe.  I would have probably enjoyed seeing him play against the Dodgers.

I mean, I can’t personally say I would be shocked at all if he clicked again and was a serious threat at the plate.  Wouldn’t it be kind of nice if that happened in an Angel uniform?

Of course someone can say why not just hope Walsh clicks again right?

He's rebounded a bit this season.  Started out pretty well, but has cooled a bit of late.  He was also on the IL for bit.  We all know he can play CF too.  Just throwing it out there.  His OBP is not great...

Gonna take much more than that.

He would get hit in the jaw on a pick off attempt and have his mouth wired shut to the point where he became emaciated and eventually died a horrible death.
