Marsh last 23 games 231/.267/.295/.562

Trout last 24 games .186/.324/.337/.661

Jeff Mathis career batting .194/.252/.299/.551

That’s crazy Trout is mired in the worst slump of his career and is still OPSing 100 points higher than Mathis’s career avg

Started the year hot. Like a chart topping single.

Then he fell off.

And it got me thinking.

He looks identical to that Jewsish rapper Matisyahu. That had that reggae rap song that everyone loved. Then you never heard from again.

Coincidence????

Young man control in your hand
Slam your fist on the table
And make your demand
Take a stand
Fan a fire for the flame of the youth
Got the freedom to choose
You better make the right move

I think you're quoting the song. Because as I read it I started grooving.

But then I never knew the lyrics to that song, so I don't know.

753 OPS is nothing to sneeze at.

Through May 9: .317/.413/.587, 167 wRC+

May 10-now: .186/.265/.235, 36 wRC+

His .753 OPS is solid, but entirely because he had a good first 5 weeks. Similar to last year. I'm not sure why this happens to Marsh, but two years in a row in which he was great for the first five weeks, then terrible after. Hopefully he can adjust and do better this year.

Beat me to it.

Trout had an amazing first month this year but a brutal next one.

His overall numbers are still very respectable. But it's a jecklyl and Hyde story
