Yes, please! Would love to see what Beane could do with some money, though not sure how he would work as a part-owner, or whether that would either work really well with Minasian or if he'd be constantly overriding him.

theo's proven he can do it with two different franchises, and that's no small accomplishment. so, he'd be my favorite i think. but beane is the OG and it would be interesting as all hell to watch.

Beane would bring in his own man that would work closely with him. That's no slight to Perry, I think it's just different visions and philosophy is all.

He’d probably try and bring in Forst. If he couldn’t get Forst, it’s probably be Dan Fienstein or Billy Owens

Well, Perry has two more years on his contract, so he could stay on as a transitional period, moving more into an "advisory role" as Beane's people take over.

Realistically though.  If someone is going to spend 2 billion on a team.  They are going to put their own people in.  I can't see the few million buy out being a roadblock.

Maybe.  I mean, if someone like Beane or Epstein were part of the new ownership group, I would certainly expect them to have major influence over baseball ops, but it doesn't happen every time where new ownership starts all over.  Colleti was kept for a couple years after McCourt sold the dogs.  It might take care of itself if Minasian puts together another losing season and it's not because they slashed payroll in anticipation of the sale.  

And, obviously, neither Beane nor Epstein would be the primary owner so the only reason to bring in either of them is to run or at least have a significant influence on the actual day to day running of the team.  

More meddling owners.

I guess I don't understand the Beane hate.  He's been unbelievably successful given what is has been dealt (i.e the doormat of MLB in every way possible....stadium, fan turnout, revenue limites, etc).

I would take Beane or Epstein "meddling" any day over the Arte Moreno and Jerry Jones brand of "meddling".
